Event Manager

London / Hybrid

We’re looking for a creative, commercially minded Event Manager to join a dynamic events team delivering high-profile corporate events, conferences, incentives, meetings and experiences. This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced event agency environment, enjoys working with demanding clients and suppliers, and is energised by turning ambitious briefs into exceptional live experiences. You’ll be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, taking ownership from the initial brief through to delivery, and staying calm, creative and solutions-focused when plans change.

The opportunity

You’ll manage a varied portfolio of exciting client programmes, ranging from conferences, meetings and incentives to corporate experiences, team-building events and destination programmes. Working closely with clients, venues, suppliers and internal teams, you’ll take responsibility for bringing each event to life — from creative concept and planning through to on-site delivery and post-event review. You’ll be someone who enjoys being hands-on, has excellent attention to detail and understands that successful events come from combining creativity, commercial thinking, organisation and outstanding client service.

What you’ll do

  • Own events from the initial client brief through to delivery and post-event review.
  • Develop creative ideas and practical event solutions that bring client objectives to life.
  • Manage multiple high-profile events and projects simultaneously, often to tight deadlines.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and act as a confident day-to-day point of contact.
  • Manage event budgets, profitability, invoicing and financial reconciliation.
  • Deliver conferences, meetings, incentives, team-building activities, corporate experiences and off-site events.
  • Research and source creative venues, destinations, hotels and event suppliers.
  • Brief, negotiate with and manage suppliers, venues, production partners and other event specialists.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, planning calls and event updates.
  • Coordinate event logistics, timelines, delegate requirements and on-site delivery.
  • Work closely with creative, production, operations, travel and other specialist teams to deliver seamless events.
  • Manage venue and supplier risk assessments and ensure appropriate event procedures are followed.
  • Anticipate problems before they happen and find creative solutions when plans change.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the client experience and develop commercial opportunities.
  • Gather client feedback and contribute ideas to continually improve event delivery.
  • Support colleagues, share knowledge and contribute to a positive, energetic team culture.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
