Events Manager – Oblix
Oblix, located on the 32nd floor of The Shard, is looking for an experienced Events Manager to join the team. This is a commercially focused role at the heart of our events business, responsible for driving and managing group dining, private events and special occasions at Oblix. From the first enquiry through to the event itself, you’ll build strong client relationships, maximise commercial opportunities and work closely with our restaurant teams to create exceptional experiences.
The Role
As Events Manager, you will:
- Manage group bookings, private dining enquiries and events from initial enquiry through to delivery.
- Drive event sales, maximising revenue, covers and repeat business.
- Build strong relationships with corporate clients, event organisers and key partners to generate new opportunities.
- Work closely with culinary and operational teams to ensure every event is planned and delivered seamlessly.
- Use our client database and guest insights to develop relationships, encourage repeat business and identify new opportunities.
- Support key brand events, partnerships and activations while identifying opportunities to continue growing the events business.

What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a confident, commercially minded events professional with a genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Previous experience in events, private dining, hospitality sales or a similar role within a premium hospitality environment.
- A strong commercial mindset with the confidence to generate, develop and convert new business.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to work with corporate clients, event organisers and high-profile guests.
- Exceptional organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple events and enquiries at once.
- Strong food and beverage knowledge and an understanding of how to sell a complete guest experience.
- A collaborative, proactive approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
