- Owning the event's critical path/master timeline and holding all internal teams and external suppliers accountable to it

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Onsite Delivery
- Leading the operations team through build-up, live days, and breakdown
- Running daily onsite briefings with venue, security, contractors, and internal teams
- Being the escalation point for onsite issues — exhibitor disputes, venue problems, safety incidents
- Managing temporary/freelance staff (registration, ushers, stewards)
Post-Event
- Running the post-show debrief with all stakeholders and producing a formal wash-up report
- Reconciling the budget against actuals and managing supplier invoice queries/disputes
- Capturing lessons learned and feeding them into the next edition's planning cycle
What we will love about your background:
- 3–6+ years' experience in event/exhibition operations at a trade show organizer, venue, or agency
- A track record of managing shows end-to-end, not just individual workstreams
- Strong commercial acumen — comfortable owning a budget and explaining variances
- Confident negotiation skills with venues and contractors
- Calm, decisive, and hands-on under pressure during live event days
Your Experience and Education include:
- Willingness to travel and work non-standard hours around show dates (often including some evening/weekend work during build/breakdown)
- Familiarity with event management/registration platforms (e.g., a badging system) and floor plan software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Who you are as a Team Member:
- You proactively seek to adopt and implement diversity into your work, including valuing diverse backgrounds, experiences and thinking. You also embrace creating and nurturing a culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong team player and ability to work well with others.
