Events Manager
We’re looking for an organised, client-focused Events Manager to join our Events team, taking ownership of a diverse portfolio of live, virtual and hybrid events delivered across the UK and beyond.
This role is ideal for someone with proven experience managing events end-to-end, from planning and logistics through to onsite delivery - who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues. You’ll be confident managing multiple projects simultaneously, anticipating requirements, solving problems early and maintaining high standards of accuracy, service and compliance.
Based primarily at our Hinckley office, you’ll support conferences, exhibitions, meetings, roadshows, awards dinners and more. You’ll use event technology such as EventsAir or Cvent to build websites, registration portals and digital tools, while ensuring budgets, timelines and documentation are managed professionally throughout the event lifecycle. The role also includes regular travel for client meetings, site visits and event delivery, with occasional flexibility required for early mornings, evenings or weekends.
You’ll play a key part in delivering exceptional event experiences, collaborating closely with internal teams and suppliers, contributing to departmental targets, and supporting wider projects and initiatives.
Due to the nature of the events industry, some flexibility will be required, including occasional additional hours, evenings and/or weekends to support events and meet business needs.
Role Purpose
To take ownership of allocated events and deliver exceptional experiences across live, virtual and hybrid formats. You will work closely with clients, colleagues and suppliers to ensure events are delivered professionally, safely and within agreed budgets and timescales, while providing an excellent level of service throughout the event lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied portfolio of events, including conferences, exhibitions, meetings, roadshows, product launches, awards dinners, congresses and team events.
- Attend and support site inspections, client meetings, supplier meetings and event delivery as required.
- Prepare, maintain and manage accurate event documentation.
- Build and manage event technology and digital products, including event websites, registration portals, virtual platforms and event apps using systems such as EventsAir and Cvent.
- Provide administrative and operational support to attendees, organisers, clients and suppliers before, during and after events.
- Ensure events are managed in line with GDPR, data protection requirements, risk assessments and other relevant legislation and company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, clients and third-party suppliers to achieve the best possible outcome for each event.
- Manage and monitor event budgets, invoicing, payment terms and financial records accurately.
- Support the Events Director and wider management team with projects and departmental initiatives.
- Respond professionally and promptly to delegate enquiries by email and telephone.
- Anticipate project requirements, manage competing priorities and meet agreed deadlines.
- Identify challenges early and take a proactive approach to finding solutions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You will be part of a collaborative and fast-paced environment, working closely with colleagues across different departments and with a wide variety of clients and suppliers.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

- An understanding of GDPR, data protection, risk assessments and relevant event considerations.
- A good technical understanding of virtual and hybrid event delivery, or the ability and willingness to develop this knowledge.
- The ability to remain calm, make informed decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, collaborative and client-focused approach. We recognise that experience can be gained in different ways. If you meet many, but not necessarily every, requirement listed above and believe you could succeed in the role, we would encourage you to apply.
