Events Manager - Business & Finance Events
London (Hybrid Flex, 3 days office – Travel North America, Asia & Europe)
Salary: £36,000 + Benefits
About this role
My client is an award-winning team delivering a portfolio of market-leading events, research reports, newsletters, and digital content across investor relations & governance sectors. Due to continued expansion, a role has arisen for an Events Manager.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of the event operations team. You'll take full ownership of your own events, running them end-to-end from venue and supplier negotiation through to onsite delivery. Your events will range from intimate half-day formats such as breakfast briefings, luncheons, and roundtable discussions, through to forums and think tanks, with audiences ranging from around 20 to 200 guests.
You'll lead venue and AV conversations for your events from the outset, negotiating with confidence as you get to know our suppliers, standards, and company-specific ways of working.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
