- £40,778 pro rata (National) / £43,903 pro rata (Greater London+)

Overview
Our client, a public heritage organisation, is seeking an experienced Event Manager to lead the planning and delivery of a major staff conference in 2027.
You will manage three in-person events across three locations, each hosting approximately 170–280 attendees. The role covers end-to-end event planning and delivery, including audiovisual requirements, budgets, timelines, stakeholder engagement and live event troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of three in-person staff conference events.
- Coordinate event logistics across three locations for approximately 170–280 attendees per event.
- Manage audiovisual requirements and other operational aspects of event delivery.
- Coordinate multiple events simultaneously, maintaining agreed timelines and budgets.
- Work across teams and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Monitor delivery progress and resolve issues as they arise.
- Troubleshoot problems during live events and ensure smooth event delivery.

Requirements
- Demonstrable experience managing in-person events, including audiovisual requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working across teams and engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Experience managing event timelines and budgets.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues during live events and remain calm under pressure.
