Are you an events aficionado wanting to use your skills to support a charity which helps people across the Fylde coast live their lives to the full and live well to the very end?

Events Officer Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 depending on experience Contract: Interim position until September 2028, full-time, 37 hours per week Location: Blackpool, with the opportunity to work from home 1 day per week. Trinity and Brian House Hospice believe in focusing on the positives within palliative care, providing patients with relief from the symptoms, pain, and stress of a serious illness to improve quality of life for them and their loved ones. They do this through recognising that each person has individual needs and caters to these needs through offering their services in the hospice, the hospital, at home, or residential care home.

About the Role

The Events Officer will work with the Events Manager to develop, plan and deliver the hospice’s programme of events across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. You’ll lead on the operational planning and delivery of these events, including creating detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, promotional plans and post-event evaluations.

You will provide exceptional stewardship to event participants from the moment they sign up until after the event. Along with the Marketing and Communications Team, you’ll ensure messaging across the event is consistent, inspiring and tailored. You will also provide on the day support, ensuring each event feels warm and welcoming to participants.

About You

This role will suit someone who is highly organised, collaborative, creative and innovative. You’ll have excellent attention to detail and time management skills and will thrive in a busy and fast-paced environment.

You will bring experience of:

  • Working in an events or fundraising role
  • Delivering large-scale, high-profile events from planning to completion
  • Producing marketing campaign material for events across multiple channels for different audiences
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meeting tight deadlines
  • Providing excellent support and building relationships with attendees and other stakeholders
