Fantastic opportunity to work in the truly pumping heart of this highly regarded and forward-thinking Association within the financial sector. As one of four Event Managers, this is more than a purely operational events role. Here your remit and drive takes in the event's overall success—operationally, commercially and from a member experience perspective, you’ll be the driver of the whole. As well as needing fantastic events logistics, there is a large collaborative nature of the role and we are ideally looking for someone who has the ability and experience to proactively contribute ideas and energy across marketing and sponsorship success, rather than someone who simply executes an event plan.

About The Organisation

Our client is one of the UK's leading membership organisations, representing hundreds of organisations across the financial services sector. Acting as a trusted voice for the industry, they bring together members from the full range of sector specialisms, to influence policy, share expertise and promote collaboration across the sector. Through research, advocacy, thought leadership and a programme of high-profile events, they help shape industry thinking while supporting innovation, growth and positive outcomes for businesses, consumers and the wider economy.

Their events programme is recognised as a key part of the value they provide to members and the industry.

The Role

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Events Manager to take ownership of a prestigious portfolio of events – including a major annual flagship conference, Dinner (300-500), and smaller varied conferences (keynotes and panel) and networking events, managing every stage from initial planning through to on-site delivery and post-event evaluation.

Alongside delivering exceptional event logistics, you'll play a key role in driving the overall success of each event. Working collaboratively with colleagues across marketing, sponsorship and policy teams, you'll take the wider view to ensure maximised delegate attendance, sponsorship opportunities, ensure partner commitments are fulfilled, keeping commercial objectives on track while always maintaining an outstanding member experience.

This is a fully rounded event management role where you'll have ownership of your events, balancing operational excellence with commercial awareness. You'll coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage budgets, suppliers and timelines, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance both the delegate experience and the commercial success of every event.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You

You'll be an experienced Events Manager with a proven track record of delivering high-quality (sizable) conferences, networking and large-scale hospitality events within a corporate environment. Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment where organisation, attention to detail and stakeholder management are second nature.

Just as importantly, you're equally comfortable managing the detail of event logistics as you are thinking about the bigger picture. You'll understand that a successful event isn't just one that runs smoothly—it's one that achieves its delegate, sponsorship and commercial objectives. But all the while keeping member values at its heart. You'll enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues across marketing, sponsorship and policy to maximise every opportunity and ensure each event delivers real value for members, partners and stakeholders.

You'll bring:

  • A passion for delivering excellent events, and a proven track record of delivering varied corporate events, including conferences (including complex e.g., with breakout streams) and large dinners/lunches (e.g., up to 400+)
  • Ideally you’ll come from an environment where you are used to balancing operational delivery with a strong awareness of commerciality (so for e.g., Membership, Association, Charity, Corporate)
  • Experience working in the financial sector, or interest in, is desirable though not essential
  • Experience managing multiple complex events or projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional event logistics and supplier management experience.
  • Commercial awareness, with experience managing budgets and understanding how successful events deliver both exceptional experiences and commercial value (including the delegate and sponsor income and journey).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to work with senior speakers, sponsors and suppliers.
  • Experience using CRM or event management systems.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with the confidence to suggest ideas, solve problems and take ownership.
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional events and being part of a supportive, high-performing team.
