Events Manager

Location: Brighton (nearby)
Contract: 12 months

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Events Manager to join a dynamic and collaborative team responsible for delivering high-profile internal and external events across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded events professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing a varied portfolio of conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, customer visits and virtual/hybrid events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage events from initial brief through to post-event analysis.
  • Deliver large-scale conferences, exhibitions, customer events and virtual programmes.
  • Source venues and negotiate contracts with external suppliers.
  • Manage event budgets, forecasting and expenditure tracking.
  • Coordinate speakers, content development and attendee communications.
  • Oversee registration processes and event platforms.
  • Manage travel, accommodation and event logistics.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure health & safety compliance.
  • Support and train colleagues on event systems and best practices.
  • Deputise for the Events Team Leader when required.

  • Proven experience managing large-scale events and conferences.
  • Experience delivering virtual, hybrid and face-to-face events.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Budget management and supplier negotiation experience.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and solution-focused under pressure.

Desirable

  • Experience with Cvent, Salesforce or similar event platforms.
  • Line management experience.
  • Event Management qualification.
  • Healthcare, diagnostics or life sciences industry experience.
