Stanlake Park Wine Estate

Stanlake Park Wine Estate is looking for an experienced and passionate Events Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage weddings and special events at one of Berkshire's most beautiful vineyard venues, ensuring every couple and guest enjoys an exceptional experience from arrival through to the end of the celebration.

What you'll do:

  • Take overall responsibility for the smooth running of weddings and events on the day.
  • Act as the main point of contact for couples, suppliers, celebrants and registrars throughout the event.
  • Working closely with the caterers, manage event timelines and ensure the day runs in accordance with the agreed schedule.
  • Lead and support a small team of assistants and bar supervisors.
  • Oversee ceremony set-up, ensuring every detail meets the highest standards.
  • Conduct venue checks before guest arrival and throughout the event.
  • Resolve any issues calmly, professionally and discreetly.
  • Ensure excellent guest service is delivered by all members of the team.
  • Oversee venue closing procedures and ensure the estate is left secure and ready for the following day.
  • Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and health & safety at all times.
  • Support the Events Team with planning, continuous improvement and developing exceptional guest experiences.

What we're looking for:

  • Availability on weekends is essential (weddings are our core business). Opportunities may also be available on other days for private, corporate and seasonal events.
  • Typical wedding shifts are either 9 am to 6 pm or 4 pm until midnight, with variable hours for other events.
  • Previous experience managing weddings, events or hospitality operations (essential).
  • A confident leader with excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Calm under pressure with the ability to think ahead and solve problems quickly.
  • Professional, approachable and guest-focused.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering outstanding events.
  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
  • Personal Licence holder desirable (or willingness to obtain one).
