Marketing Events Manager

We’re working with a fast-growing B2B SaaS business looking for a Marketing Events Manager to take ownership of its growing programme of live and digital events.
This is not just an events coordination role. We’re looking for someone commercially minded who understands how events can generate engagement, opportunities and ultimately pipeline.
You’ll take ownership of the events programme from end to end, helping decide which opportunities are worth investing in, building the annual calendar and then rolling your sleeves up to make them happen.
The role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Building and managing an annual programme of B2B events and webinars
- Owning conferences, exhibitions, sponsorships, roundtables, customer events and smaller networking events
- Managing events end to end, including venues, suppliers, speakers, stands, travel, logistics and timelines
- Developing webinars and digital events from initial topic through to delivery and follow-up
- Working closely with Sales to identify target accounts and contacts for each event
- Creating pre-event engagement and invitation plans
- Ensuring leads and opportunities are effectively followed up after events
- Tracking registrations, attendance, meetings, opportunities, influenced pipeline and ROI
- Evaluating which events are delivering commercial value and using those insights to shape future investment
- Managing multiple events, budgets and stakeholders simultaneously
- Helping develop new owned events such as executive roundtables and breakfast briefings

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience within B2B SaaS, enterprise technology or another complex B2B environment would be particularly useful, as would experience marketing to US or enterprise audiences.
This would be a great opportunity for an experienced Events or Field Marketing professional who wants to step into a role with genuine ownership. You won’t simply be handed a list of events to organise. You’ll have the opportunity to help determine where the business should invest, build the programme and demonstrate the commercial impact it generates.
