Events and Matchday SIA DS Security Officer

Please note that you must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) Licence to be eligible for this role.

£13.75 per hour

We are looking to recruit additional Events & Matchday SIA Licensed Door Supervisors to join our team, working at football, rugby, and cricket matches, as well as theatres, conferences, and concerts across the region.

Manchester Location

Manchester is a key location for G4S Events. Not only could you be working at either of the two Premier League football clubs in the city or at a high-profile cricket ground and event venues, but you could also have the opportunity to be part of major music and sporting events across the region. If you're open to travel, there are even opportunities to work at some of the biggest events across the UK.

Availability

You will need to be available on match days, which may include evenings and weekends. The broader G4S Events business also offers opportunities to suit your lifestyle—whether that’s flexible ad hoc hours or working 40+ hours per week, we have a wide range of shifts available.

Role Description

Our Event and Matchday Security Officers provide a visible reminder that safety is our number one priority for visitors and staff. This means you could be working indoors or outdoors, on your feet, showing people where to go, checking tickets at entry points, monitoring crowds, and managing car parking facilities. Wherever you are, you’ll be the fun, helpful, and friendly face representing G4S Events.

Responsibilities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
