About the Job

We are excited to announce an excellent opportunity to join our team as a SIAM Event Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and coordinating the management of IT events across a multi-supplier service environment. You will play a key role in ensuring that events are identified, assessed, and escalated appropriately to minimise service disruption and maintain operational stability. Working within the SIAM function, you will collaborate closely with internal support teams and external service providers to drive effective event management practices, improve service performance, and support the continuous enhancement of operational processes. Your ability to analyse event trends, facilitate cross-supplier coordination, and provide insightful reporting will contribute to the delivery of reliable and efficient IT services.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time. You should be prepared to attend our offices 3 days per week as a minimum.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including: identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).

Your Role

The SIAM Event Analyst provides governance, assurance, and control across the Event Management practice within a multi-supplier IT environment. The role ensures that suppliers adhere to the agreed event process, standards, thresholds, and governance requirements, while acting as the central collation and coordination point for events spanning multiple suppliers. By consolidating supplier event information into a clear business and service view, the role supports effective oversight, risk identification, escalation, and continual improvement.

  • Provide governance and assurance over supplier compliance with the agreed Event Management process, operating model, standards, controls, and service requirements.
  • Review supplier event management performance and evidence to confirm that events are detected, assessed, prioritised, escalated, and closed in line with agreed obligations.
  • Maintain oversight of service thresholds, event criteria, and control effectiveness, identifying non-compliance, systemic weaknesses, emerging trends, and risks requiring supplier action.
  • Act as the central collation and coordination point for related events across multiple suppliers, consolidating technical inputs into a coherent end-to-end business and service impact view.
  • Ensure cross-supplier events, risks, dependencies, and control breaches are escalated through the appropriate governance channels, with clear ownership and timely follow-through.
  • Challenge suppliers on event quality, correlation, recurring alert patterns, and excessive noise, ensuring that corrective actions and improvement plans are defined, owned, and tracked to completion.
  • Provide the governance interface with Incident, Problem, and Major Incident Management, ensuring effective event-to-incident linkage, consistent prioritisation, and clear accountability across suppliers.
  • Oversee supplier proposals for changes to monitoring coverage, event rules, thresholds, dashboards, and reporting, ensuring they support end-to-end service visibility and agreed business outcomes.
  • Produce consolidated cross-supplier event management metrics, assurance findings, business-impact reporting, and actionable insights for governance forums, service reviews, and continual service improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
