Events Officer
Edinburgh | Full-Time | Permanent | £30,000
Are you an organised and creative events professional who enjoys bringing people together, managing successful events, and creating engaging marketing campaigns? We're recruiting on behalf of a respected membership organisation seeking an Events, Marketing & Social Media Officer to play a key role in delivering a varied programme of industry events while leading marketing and social media activity. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, collaborative team where you'll have genuine ownership of projects, build relationships with leading businesses, and help shape high-profile events across Scotland.
The Opportunity
This is a broad and varied position combining:
- Planning and delivering a calendar of professional events
- Developing marketing campaigns to promote events and engagement
- Managing social media content across multiple platforms
- Liaising with venues, speakers, suppliers and industry partners
- Supporting sponsorship activity and commercial event opportunities
- Analysing campaign performance to continually improve engagement

We're Looking For Someone Who Has:
- Previous experience planning and delivering events
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience managing business social media platforms
- Confidence building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Good IT skills and experience using Microsoft Office and digital marketing tools
- The ability to prioritise multiple projects and work to deadlines
- A positive, proactive and professional approach
