Event Operations Coordinator - learn the operational engine of the world's largest AI engineering conference | Remote (US)

Our client runs the biggest technical AI conference on the planet - the neutral stage where OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, NVIDIA, and Microsoft all show up. 500 attendees to 7,000+ in three years, heading for 15,000+. Great events run on great operations, and this is the person learning to own that engine from the inside.
THE ONE THING YOU NEED:
You've had real hands-on time in an event-tech / registration platform - Cvent, RainFocus, Bizzabo, AccelEvents, or similar. You've built reg flows, run badge printing, managed check-in, or a speaker/exhibitor portal. This is the one thing we can't teach you.
Everything else on this list can be taught:
- Attendee, speaker, and sponsor operations
- Event reporting and dashboards
- AI tools and automation to kill the manual work
- The rest of the tech stack

Let's be honest about the level:
This is a coordinator seat, not a Head of Events seat. You'll start heads-down and task-driven - fixing a badge jam five minutes before doors, chasing a photographer, keeping hundreds of moving pieces from dropping. You earn ownership by being reliable first. If you're a 15-year events director, this isn't your role - and that's fine.
But here's the upside, and it's real: this seat is on a track to Producer. You learn the entire operation from the ground, and you move up as the events get bigger. For the right person who's early and hungry, that's rare.
To be clear: it's intense. A fast-moving startup, a lean team that travels together, priorities that shift weekly, big personalities in the room. No ego survives here - you do whatever the business needs. If you want calm and predictable, keep scrolling.

What you'll grow into owning:
- Registration and event tech end to end
- The operational backbone across every event and every team
- The runbooks and automations that let it all scale
The details:
- Remote (US) - outside the pricey metros. Travel to up to 8 events a year
- ~$80k, some flex for the right person
- Coordinator level, with a real path to Producer
The process:
