Event Operations Delivery Manager (Exhibitions and Live Events)
Remote, UK based
Up to £60,000
Regular UK, European and Middle East travel
Our client builds the physical structures that live events happen inside. Not the content, not the creative, the infrastructure itself. They deliver around fourteen events in September and closer to twenty in November, across the UK, Europe and the Middle East, and they are growing quickly.
This is a newly created role sitting between the sales team and the operations team.
The Role
You will own the client from the point the deal is signed through to the handover to the ops team on site. Every conversation with the organiser sits with you: build and break times, access, on site storage, delivery schedules, graphics management, floor covering, electrics, lighting, door positions, power panels and air con. You will place the orders with suppliers and manage all stakeholders through the planning process.

Alongside the operational delivery, you will hold commercial responsibility for each project. That means protecting and growing the margin as the plan develops, identifying upsell opportunities across services such as graphics, and understanding the cost base well enough to influence it. In most exhibition businesses the ops function never touches the numbers. Here you own them.
What You Will Need
- At least five years' experience in event operations.
- Demonstrable responsibility for the budget and profit on a job, not just the delivery of it.
- A genuine blend of commercial and operational experience. This is not a purely ops role, and it is not a role where the delivery gets delegated elsewhere.
- Breadth across event types. Corporates, congresses, user groups and exhibitions, rather than exhibitions alone.
- CAD experience. The business runs on CAD and there will be a live demonstration during the interview process, so working familiarity is essential.
- High attention to detail.
- A strong understanding of different customer types and their requirements.

This is a growing business, so the successful candidate will work above and below their job title as the team builds out.
Practical Detail
- Fully remote with no office attendance requirement.
- Travel will be roughly every fortnight across the UK and Europe, with additional Middle East travel while the Dubai team is being established.
- Around 30% of the UK team's events are delivered in Europe.
- July, August, December and January are typically quieter periods.
Process
- A thirty minute Teams interview,
- A live CAD demonstration,
- Then a face to face interview in London.
- Two to three stages, moving quickly.
