Job Title: Event Producer

Reporting to: Head of Events
Salary: DOE

The day-to-day. And then some.

You’ll help take ideas from first conversation to show-day reality. Shaping, planning and delivering events that feel cool, considered, confident and anything-but-ordinary.

In practice, that looks like:

  • Being a reassuring, switched-on first point of contact for clients. Listening properly, asking better questions, and shaping clear briefs for the Gustaf team and our trusted partners.
  • Turning those briefs into compelling event ideas that actually deliver what the client wants. And often a lot more.
  • Finding the right venues. The ones that fit the brief, the mood and the moment. Not just the ones that happen to be free.
  • Building detailed, well-thought-through budgets, and being comfortable talking clients through the numbers.
  • Creating proposals that are clear, confident and persuasive. Then presenting and pitching them through to contract.
  • Researching, negotiating and working closely with suppliers from start to finish. Across costs, contracts, briefs and on-the-day delivery.
  • Owning the full production of your events, end to end. No dropping balls. No disappearing when things get tricky. And they will from time to time.
  • Taking proper responsibility for how your clients’ events land. Keeping things calm, organised and on track.
  • Making sure every event runs smoothly for clients, venues and suppliers. Strong attention to detail. Clear, regular communication.
  • Using Gustaf’s planning tools and processes properly. Project plans, status reports and event documentation done well and on time.
  • Staying curious about production, entertainment, catering and new ideas. Knowing what’s worth recommending and what isn’t.
  • Building great client relationships over time. Trust, clarity and follow-through matter here.
  • Showing up in a way that makes Gustaf better. Pitching in, backing the team, and doing things with care and intent.

What matters most to us

You don’t need to know it all on day one.
What matters most is how you think, how you treat people, and how you show up when things get busy.
We can teach tools, processes and specifics. We can’t teach curiosity, good judgement or a positive, can-do attitude.
If you’re fired up by variety, momentum and responsibility, and you take pride in doing the work properly, you’ll probably feel right at home at Gustaf.
No two days at Gustaf are the same. Things move fast here, so this isn’t a box-ticking role.
We’re after someone flexible, proactive, and happy to muck in wherever needed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

An Introduction to Gustaf

Gustaf might only be 6 years old, but don’t be fooled by our youthful good looks.
With decades of collective experience creating unforgettable creative events for some of the world’s biggest brands, boosting employee engagement, and generally getting teams feeling great (and performing even better) – we’re just good at hiding the wrinkles.

What you’re letting yourself in for

At Gustaf, our enemy is ordinary. Anyone can do ordinary. Most do. We’re after different.
A switched-on, tuned-in Event Producer who’s mad for creating shared experiences that cause goosebumps. Not saying we don’t need a seriously safe pair of hands. We do.
Clients will trust you to be all over the detail, start to finish.
They’ll love how well you totally get what they’re aiming to achieve.
When it comes to planning you can budget to the penny, time to the second. You’re a natural at getting the best from your team, partners and suppliers.
You make sure the right people and the right things are in the right places at the right time. Working at a blistering pace doesn’t faze you in the slightest.
Oh, and you’ll already have a few years or so of event experience behind you.
So, if you live for bringing epic ideas to life while bringing massive smiles to faces, and being highly organised with meticulous attention to detail, this could well be the role for you.

Gustaf Values

GAME
Comfort zone? Nah. If an idea gives us goosebumps, makes at least a bit of sense, and we reckon we could do a top job of it…we’re up for the challenge and ready to give it a go. Bring it on.

UGLY
We make gorgeous things happen. But when we need to work scrappy, we do whatever it takes to get the job done.

SOCIAL
We’re all over the socials - big fans. But we’re even better in real life. We love hanging out with great people and live for a good do, whichever side of the bar we’re on. Or kitchen swing door. Or sound booth, or DJ decks.

TIGHT
Like any great rock band on a roll, every member of the Gustaf team performs their individual role to perfection. But together? We work and play in tune, we harmonise brilliantly, and we’ve got each other’s backs. So no fallouts and no TVs out of hotel windows.

AUTHENTIC
We put on a performance, never a pretence. What you see is what you get. Straight-talking but never an unkind word. Always up for a laugh. And it shows.

FAST
It’s all go at Gustaf. We work at a blistering pace, so when we do decide to do something, we don’t hang about. Because if a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing fast. Anyway, it’s more fun that way.
