Summary
Join our team and help bring sets, stages and brand activations from render to reality for corporate events across the UK and Europe. The role will directly support our leadership team, assisting in the smooth execution of projects from when we receive a design, to fabrication in our workshop, deployment and postproduction.
Wage
£15,600 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Day to day duties will involve:
- Understanding the client’s creative vision and breaking it down into key deliverables for communication internally.
- Developing project timelines to ensure clients and internal stakeholders deliver on time.
- Coordinating internally with our technical designers and workshop manager to ensure what is being made matches the client vision.
- Handling the booking of logistics such as trucking, accommodation, venue services, contractors and anything else that is required to ensure a smooth installation and derig of the build.
- Managing goods in and warehousing of client and company goods.
- Liaising with partners such as AV suppliers, graphics teams and venue teams as needed for each build.
- Communicating effectively with contractors that may be required to support during the installation and derig.
- Supporting on-site event installation and derig to ensure smooth implementation.
- Arranging postproduction; be it storing, reusing, giving away, selling or disposing of all built items.

What you'll learn
Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to:
- Write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages.
- Choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
- Update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
- Produce accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals.
- Make recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.
- Draft correspondence, write reports and able to review others' work.
- Maintain records and files, handle confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures.
- Coach others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
- Exercise proactivity and good judgement.
- Make effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way.
- Seek advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
- Build and maintain positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation.
- Demonstrate ability to influence and challenge appropriately.
- Become a role model to peers and team members, developing coaching skills as they gain area knowledge.
- Demonstrate good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms.

- Use relevant project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor and report.
- Plan required resources to successfully deliver projects.
- Undertake and lead projects as and when required.

Training schedule
The apprentice will be working towards the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard including a City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma for the Business Administrator. Monthly classes at Colchester Institute (Colchester Campus).

Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in: maths and English (grade A*-E/9-2)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements
The role will be based fully at our Manningtree workshop and will involve a fair amount of computer-based work, but also involvement in the warehouse. Occasionally there will be work on site during event installations. These can happen across the UK and Europe for between 1 and 10 days at a time.
