Event Project Manager, Life Sciences (German-speaking) - United Kingdom

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Event Project Manager, Life Sciences (German-speaking) based in the United Kingdom.

We are looking for an experienced Event Project Manager to deliver high-impact life sciences engagements across congresses, medical education programs, webinars, and advisory boards.

This role combines project management expertise, customer relationship management, and digital event technology to create seamless experiences for healthcare professionals and industry stakeholders.

You will manage projects end-to-end, from planning and configuration to onsite execution and post-event analysis.

The position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and engagement analytics within a collaborative remote environment.

You will partner with global pharma teams, medical experts, and internal specialists to improve how scientific and commercial interactions are delivered.

Accountabilities:

The Event Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and optimization of digital and in-person life sciences events, ensuring exceptional delivery for clients and participants throughout the full project lifecycle.

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of congresses, webinars, advisory boards, medical education programs, and other life sciences events.
  • Build, configure, and launch digital engagement solutions, including web, mobile, portal, video, and AI-powered event experiences.
  • Coordinate closely with customers, healthcare professionals, speakers, field teams, agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare and manage event technology setups, including engagement tracking tools, applications, devices, badge printers, and onsite solutions.
  • Train faculty members, field teams, and event staff while ensuring all participants are fully prepared before live experiences.
  • Support onsite and virtual event operations, troubleshooting issues and maintaining high-quality participant experiences.
  • Analyze event performance data, create reports and dashboards, and provide recommendations to improve future engagements.
  • Build strong client relationships through proactive communication, operational excellence, and a service-oriented approach.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has experience managing life sciences events, medical education programs, or congress projects and combines strong organizational skills with technical confidence. They should be comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, navigating regulated environments, and delivering projects independently.

  • 2+ years of experience in event project management, congress planning, medical education, or related roles within pharma, healthcare, or an event agency environment.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical meeting workflows, stakeholder management, and event execution processes.
  • Experience managing projects involving healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), medical societies, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of pharma compliance processes, including Commercial, Medical, and Legal Review workflows.
  • Ability to manage complex projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and solve operational challenges effectively.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Technical confidence and ability to learn and configure digital event platforms and tools.
  • Ability to translate business needs into practical solutions while balancing compliance and user experience.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including onsite event support, with approximately 20–40% travel and occasional weekend or out-of-hours availability.
