At Banchory Lodge, we're looking for an Event Sales Coordinator to join our Reception & Event Sales team and play a key role in growing our weddings and events business.

As an independent four-star boutique hotel on the banks of the River Dee, we're known for our warm hospitality, beautiful setting, and personalised approach. We're looking for someone who shares that passion for people, and is motivated by achieving sales targets, converting enquiries into bookings, and delivering a seamless client experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on building relationships, has a keen commercial focus, and takes pride in getting the details right.

Responsibilities

  • Managing wedding and event enquiries from first contact through to event delivery.
  • Converting enquiries into confirmed bookings through effective sales techniques and relationship building.
  • Conducting venue showrounds and client meetings that showcase Banchory Lodge.
  • Identifying opportunities to maximise revenue through upselling and package enhancements.
  • Producing proposals, contracts, function sheets, invoices and event documentation with exceptional accuracy.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients throughout their planning journey.
  • Building strong relationships with couples, corporate clients and event organisers.
  • Supporting departmental booking and revenue targets while maintaining outstanding client satisfaction.
  • Supporting Reception and Reservations operations as part of one team.
  • Working closely with the Operations team to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in hotel events, wedding sales or similar hospitality sales.
  • Has a proven track record of converting enquiries into bookings and exceeding client expectations.
  • Is highly organised with excellent administrative skills and outstanding attention to detail.
  • Can confidently manage multiple enquiries, deadlines and projects at the same time.
  • Understands the importance of accurate contracts, documentation, deposits and event records.
  • Has strong communication skills and enjoys building lasting client relationships.
  • Is commercially aware, proactive and motivated by achieving results.
  • Has experience using Rezlynx or a similar Hotel PMS.

Location:

Banchory Lodge, Banchory, Aberdeenshire

Hours:

40 hours per week, primarily Monday to Friday, with flexibility around key events.

Salary:

Around £30,000 per annum.

Bonus:

Transparent, results based.

A part-time position is also available for a candidate who is available to work 20-24 hours per week.
