About Barworks
Barworks is an independent, growing hospitality group creating modern, multi-faceted venues that bring together food, drink, culture, and events in distinctive, design-led environments. Our portfolio includes Mare Street Market, The Island, The Starman, and a growing estate across London. Each venue is intentionally unique, and we take pride in creating places with personality, atmosphere, and warmth.
People sit at the heart of Barworks. We invest in development, promote from within wherever possible, and offer genuine long-term progression as the business continues to grow.
The Role
This is a pivotal commercial role at the heart of our events business. Reporting to the Senior Events Sales Manager, you will manage the client journey from first enquiry through to a confirmed, well-planned event, responding quickly, hosting engaging showrounds, building tailored proposals, and converting opportunities into bookings.
You will be the voice of Barworks for corporate clients, agencies, and private bookers alike, building lasting relationships and acting as the key link between prospective clients and our venue teams.
Success in this role comes from combining pace, precision, and personality. You'll deliver exceptional customer service, maintain a healthy sales pipeline, and create experiences that encourage clients to return to Barworks time and time again.
Key Responsibilities
Enquiry Management
- Act as the first point of contact for all incoming event enquiries across the Barworks portfolio, delivering a professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming first impression.
- Respond to all enquiries within agreed service levels, qualifying guest numbers, budgets, dates, and event requirements from the very first interaction.
- Build rapport with clients, understand their objectives, and confidently recommend the most suitable Barworks venue and event solution.
- Ensure every enquiry is accurately recorded, organised, and progressed through the CRM system.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
