The bit about us
The Arding Rooms is x+why’s award-winning private members' club and events venue, located within the beautifully restored Arding & Hobbs building in the heart of Clapham Junction. We are very proud to have created a welcoming space where members and guests can work, socialise, dine and celebrate.
We host a variety of corporate and social events, from team building and training days, seminars and Christmas parties, to engagements, birthdays and baby showers.
We’re looking for an Event Sales Executive who knows that hosting a successful event is about more than everything just running smoothly. It’s about creating an atmosphere where people feel genuinely welcome, well looked after and free to relax and enjoy the occasion.
The bit about the role
We won’t pretend this role will be a difficult sell: the venue has some serious wow factor! Think beautifully restored stained-glass dome windows, interiors to rival any five-star hotel and, the cherry on top, a rooftop terrace with sweeping views across London’s iconic skyline!
From conferences and private dinners to drinks parties and celebrations, you’ll own event enquiries from the first conversation to a confirmed booking.
You’ll get to know what clients are looking for, host show rounds, create proposals and follow up on opportunities - ultimately turning great enquiries into memorable events.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
It’s a commercial role with targets to hit, but how you get there matters too. We want someone who listens, understands what a client is trying to achieve and brings a warm, personal approach from the very first interaction.
The bit about you
As an ambitious sales professional, you love the buzz of turning an initial enquiry into a contract.
You’re commercially minded and comfortable working towards targets, but you’re not about the hard sell. You listen, ask intuitive questions and build strong relationships that give clients confidence they’re in safe hands.
Personality is a big part of this role, but you’ll also be confident using CRM tools, Microsoft Office and social media for lead generation. And, given our passion for sustainability, working for an ethically driven business will mean something to you.
You also know the job doesn’t end when the contract is signed. You’ll work closely with the team delivering our events, care about what happens on the day and take real pride in seeing something you helped bring through the door come to life.
