OVERVIEW
This is a vital role at Moving Venue, account managing our highly prestigious portfolio of Museums, Palaces, Galleries and private clients in the London event catering market.
The Event Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the crucial relationships with the Events Teams at these venues. We must ensure that we maintain our profile and preferred caterer status, which results in the opportunity to provide proposals for the event enquiries received at these venues. These enquiries need to be managed with skill and an ability to differentiate in a competitive market. Each venue has its own annual revenue target and needs its own tailor-made sales and marketing plan, which the Event Sales Manager will develop with the Sales Director and wider team, then own and deliver.
Proactively, the Event Sales Manager must also have a working knowledge of venues we are not accredited at. We welcome the opportunity to grow and develop our portfolio and existing relationships the Event Sales Manager has will be key. Our continual aim is for all the Unique Venues in London to be aware of Moving Venue’s experience, passion and talent and that we are ready to tender whenever the opportunity arises.
Moving Venue has a wealth of corporate clients and luxury brands whom we have worked with over our 40 years leading the catering market. After over a year of not catering live events, we aim to maintain these relationships and grow new partnerships with London corporate event bookers. The Event Sales Manager will work with the wider Sales Team and support in assessing any emerging areas for growth and developing new relationships.
We are a close, committed team with the right attitude. Following a difficult year for the entire industry, Moving Venue are thrilled to be recruiting for this vital role within the company. This is a chance to join a prestigious caterer at an exciting new time in its 40-year history.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
