Event Sales Manager

Position Overview

Department: Sales

Reports To: Head of Sales

Location: London (Swan & Underglobe)

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week) based in office (Hop Exchange)

Salary Range: £45,000 - £50,000 p.a. OTE £60,000 + Uncapped

The Opportunity

We're looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Event Sales Manager to drive venue sales and help write the next chapter of our success.

Core Responsibilities

  • Enquiry Management: Handle inbound event enquiries smoothly from initial contact through to final confirmation.
  • Proposal Creation: Generate tailored proposals, precise quotes, and legal contracts aligned with client budgets.
  • Client Consultation: Advise clients expertly on menus, wine pairings, AV requirements, entertainment, timings, and optimal room layouts.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with both corporate and private clients.
  • Operations Handover: Collaborate closely with internal operations teams to ensure flawless event delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Supplier Coordination: Liaise and negotiate efficiently with third-party suppliers and external event partners.
  • Revenue Maximisation: Drive venue profitability by identifying and executing sales strategies and date management.
  • Sales Administration: Manage CRM system updates, issue timely invoices, and maintain highly accurate event documentation.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute creative ideas to optimize sales pipelines and accelerate overall venue revenue growth.
  • Process Knowledge: Maintain up to date knowledge of Swan London’s products and effectively communicate and guide clients.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven track record in event sales, hospitality sales, or premium venue management.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial awareness with a confident ability to negotiate and close deals.
  • Organisation: Highly organised individual with meticulous attention to detail and strong multitasking abilities.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using CRM systems and managing structural event administration.
  • Attitude: A fast-paced worker with a genuine passion for hospitality, events, and delivering premium client experiences.
