Event Sales Manager

Location: Grand Station, Wolverhampton

Salary: £26,437 - £38,842 per year (including performance bonuses)

Expected Earnings: £34,000+ per year

Job Type: Full-time


About Grand Station

Grand Station is an award-winning conference and events venue in the heart of Wolverhampton, hosting hundreds of weddings, corporate events, celebrations, and cultural occasions every year.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Event Sales Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships, exceeding targets, and creating exceptional customer experiences.

The successful candidate will be responsible for converting enquiries into confirmed bookings, maximising revenue opportunities, and ensuring every client receives outstanding service from their first enquiry through to booking confirmation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop sales opportunities from new and existing enquiries.
  • Conduct venue show-rounds and client meetings, presenting Grand Station to the highest standard.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and contracts in a timely manner.
  • Follow up enquiries and manage the sales pipeline to maximise conversion rates.
  • Achieve and exceed individual revenue and performance targets.
  • Work closely with the wider sales and events teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.
  • Maintain accurate records using our CRM system (Bitrix), ensuring customer data remains up to date and accurate.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including enquiries, appointments, conversions, and sales revenue.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve performance.
  • Contribute new ideas and initiatives to support business growth.
  • Act as a positive ambassador for Grand Station at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support operational and audit requirements.
  • Attend regular performance reviews and team meetings.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous sales experience.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work towards and achieve targets.

Desirable

  • Minimum of 3 years' sales experience.
  • Experience within the events, hospitality, wedding, or conference sectors.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems.

Working Hours

  • 5 days per week
  • 9:00am – 6:00pm
  • Saturday working required as part of the standard working week
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of the business and clients

The pay would be £26,436 per year, with a bonus of £1,000 per month if target is achieved. Bonus are uncapped and could lead to earning considerable more.
