Hi, glad you're here! We started eventfirst in 2025 and are now a team of around 20 people. About half have spent years organising events. The rest are engineers.
We're building a platform for meetings, offsites and conferences. Our clients include businesses, organisations, associations and agencies. They currently organise their events across a dozen tools. Our platform brings their requirements, proposals and planning together in one place.
Your role
You'll help clients create events they're excited to host and see your ideas through from the first conversation to the event itself. Get to know what they have in mind, suggest options they might not have considered and help them choose what works for them. You'll guide them towards a booking and stay responsible for planning, suppliers and delivery, right up to the final invoice.
Qualified enquiries come through our advertising, with no cold calling. You'll take responsibility for revenue and work towards agreed quarterly targets. Our platform's built-in AI helps with research, drafts and repetitive tasks. That gives you more time for client conversations and the details that make each event work.
What you will do
- Find out what clients want their event to achieve. Develop options that fit the occasion, the participants and the budget.
- Price proposals and explain the options. Resolve open questions, follow up and turn enquiries into bookings.
- Source venues, hotels and suppliers and compare their proposals. Use existing framework agreements and negotiate further rates, terms and commissions on the client’s behalf.
- Agree services and timings with suppliers and coordinate delivery. When plans change, assess the impact on costs and the schedule and agree what happens next.
- Track costs against the budget and see the event through to the final invoice.
- Stay in touch with your clients and discuss their future events.
- Use feedback from your events to improve how we plan them. Share concrete examples with our product team when the platform could provide better support.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you will need to succeed
- You have some sales experience and can give an example of advising clients, explaining proposals or following up as they decide.
- You have coordinated events and worked with venues or other suppliers. Tell us what you were personally responsible for in planning, costs and delivery.
- You communicate in English at native level, both spoken and written. You can advise clients, explain proposals and negotiate complex terms confidently.
- You enjoy learning new software and check whether its results fit the client’s request. You use figures from proposals and event budgets to inform your decisions. You take feedback on board and apply it in your next client conversation or event.
Nice to have
- Sales experience at a hotel, venue or caterer can help you get started, as can work at an event agency or in-house events team.
- Purchasing experience, familiarity with event or CRM software, and German are useful too. We're interested in what you've personally been responsible for.

- Qualified inbound enquiries, so you can focus on advising clients and winning bookings. No cold calling.
- Our platform and AI tools support research, proposals and planning, giving you more time for clients.
- A direct say in how we build our UK business and improve our platform.
How to apply
- Start with the screening questions about your sales and event experience. For most questions, you can simply select an answer.
- Next is a 30-minute chat with our recruiter about your background and what you're looking for. We'll explain the role and working arrangements, and answer your questions.
- You'll meet our founders in two separate 30-minute conversations. We'll discuss how you work with clients and organise events, and tell you about our plans for eventfirst. Bring your questions about the business and what working together would be like.
