Event Sales Manager
Join Bowood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort as our Event Sales Manager and take the lead of a talented team of 3–4 Event Sales Coordinators, driving event sales, revenue, and exceptional customer experiences.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will have the opportunity to grow the business, develop your team, and personally manage and sell events from initial enquiry through to delivery.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark on a successful events operation at one of Wiltshire’s most distinctive hospitality destinations.
You will have real ownership, the opportunity to develop a team, and the chance to directly influence the growth and profitability of our events business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 3–4 Event Sales Coordinators.
- Drive quarterly and annual event sales and revenue targets.
- Generate new business and maximize repeat business and revenue opportunities.
- Manage and convert event enquiries, building strong client relationships.
- Sell and coordinate your own events, taking ownership from enquiry to delivery.
- Maximize yield and profitability across the events department.
- Ensure every event delivers exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
- Coach your team to achieve individual and departmental targets.
- Work closely with operational teams, clients, and suppliers to deliver outstanding events.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase revenue, and enhance the customer experience.

The Successful Candidate
We are looking for someone who is commercially driven, organized, and passionate about events, with the confidence to lead a team while remaining hands-on.
You Will Ideally Have
- Experience in event sales, hospitality sales, conference & banqueting, or event management.
- Previous experience leading or managing a team.
- A proven track record of achieving sales or revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of revenue and profit maximization.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple events and priorities confidently.
- A proactive, positive, and solutions-focused approach.
