About the Role

A leading organisation within the education sector is seeking a capable Events Specialist to help lead the planning and delivery of outstanding conferences, exhibitions, webinars, events, and networking activities. This role would be suitable for someone looking to move up to Events Manager level, who is passionate about the events industry and ideally educational opportunities for all.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, partners, and suppliers, you will manage the event lifecycle, ensuring events are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed delegate expectations. This role offers the opportunity to shape engaging events that support professional development, knowledge sharing, and community engagement and would suit someone who is looking for their next challenge as part of a lovely, close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end organisation of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.
  • Develop and oversee event plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate venues, suppliers, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors.
  • Oversee delegate registration, communications, and customer experience.
  • Manage event marketing activity alongside internal teams.
  • Produce post-event reporting, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Ensure events are delivered to a high standard and aligned with organisational objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing conferences, exhibitions, webinars, and events.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and supplier relationships.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable using event management platforms, CRM systems, and Microsoft 365.
