Primary Function

As an Event Technician / Multi Skilled Operator (MSO), you will deliver world-class live events, studio productions, and broadcast experiences.

Working within a broadcast-first environment, you will operate a variety of professional production systems while supporting technical rehearsals, live broadcasts, and event delivery.

You will develop technical expertise across multiple disciplines including vision, audio, lighting, cameras, streaming, and presentation systems while working alongside experienced broadcast professionals.

Salary: £43,000

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver live events across studios and control rooms.
  • Support event setup, operation, and derig.
  • Operate professional AV and broadcast systems.
  • Provide technical support throughout live productions.
  • Operate vision, audio, lighting, and presentation systems.
  • Assist with live streaming and recording.
  • Support gallery teams during broadcasts.
  • Monitor technical quality throughout productions.
  • Perform daily equipment checks.
  • Identify and report equipment faults.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance.
  • Escalate technical issues where required.
  • Provide professional technical support to clients.
  • Build positive relationships with presenters and production teams.
  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Work collaboratively with Production Coordinators, Senior Event Technicians, and Technical Directors.
  • Support colleagues during busy production periods.
  • Share knowledge and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Contribute ideas for improving workflows.
  • Participate in technical training.
  • Develop technical skills across multiple production disciplines.
