Event Technology Manager

Our Event Technology shapes the digital experience of every attendee - from registration to networking, awards submissions to onsite engagement. We leverage technology platforms to ensure seamless, scalable and data‑driven experiences.
We’re seeking an Event Technology Manager who combines platform expertise, operational excellence, product‑minded thinking and strong data acumen to drive the next evolution of Techoraco’s event technology stack.
What You Will Do
End‑to‑End Platform Delivery
- Own the full lifecycle of event tech delivery across registration, networking platforms, awards, engagement tools and data workflows
- Act as the operational point of contact for event technology across the business
- Guide stakeholders through discovery, configuration, testing and onsite execution
Registration Build & Management
- Build multi‑path registration sites including pricing, discounts, tax rules, conditional flows and confirmation logic
- Support with configuration check‑in, kiosks, devices and badge printing
- Manage testing cycles, launch approvals and continuous optimisation of registration processes
Networking Platform Configuration & Delivery
- Lead full networking platform setup including data structures, custom fields, groups, sponsor entitlements, meeting locations and notifications
- Provide strategic configuration guidance to maximise attendee interaction, meetings and sponsor value
- Manage data imports, mapping, ETL and session integrations
- Oversee testing, troubleshooting and cross‑functional communications
- Support onsite delivery of networking, scanning, agenda updates and sponsor support

Awards Management Ownership
- Build and operate awards programmes end‑to‑end: categories, submissions, scoring logic, judging panels, automated comms and ceremony outputs
- Prepare shortlists, scoring summaries, winner exports and content for show production
- Integrate awards outputs with event websites, registration platforms and internal workflows
Cross‑Functional Project Management
- Coordinate project timelines, dependencies, deliverables and risks with Marketing, Ops, Production, Customer Services and Sales
- Manage scope, prevent scope creep and raise SOW changes where needed
- Provide clear documentation, versioning, meeting notes and stakeholder updates
Onsite Technology Execution
- Lead onsite technology delivery across badge printing, scanning, kiosks, devices and networking checks
- Support live troubleshooting, updates, notifications, scanning and real‑time analytics
Technical Troubleshooting & Vendor Management
- Triage issues across event tech stack
- Raise and manage support tickets and escalations
- Recommend platform or workflow enhancements to internal teams and vendors
Process, Governance & Training
- Maintain SOPs, playbooks, naming conventions, templates and best‑practice documentation
- Train and mentor colleagues on all event technology platforms and workflows
- Drive continuous improvement
Product Ownership & Technology Evolution
- Work closely with the Director of Technology to assess, evaluate and select new technology platforms that enhance attendee experience, operational efficiency and commercial outcomes
- Act as the internal product owner for the event technology toolset - shaping requirements, defining workflows, and championing best practice across Techoraco
- Conduct competitive analysis, platform comparisons and pilot evaluations for emerging tools (AI, networking, onsite tech, awards, content, lead retrieval and beyond)
- Capture business needs from Marketing, Sales, Production and Ops, translating them into platform requirements and enhancements
- Advocate internally for technology improvements that reduce risk, streamline delivery and drive measurable customer value

Experience
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years in Event Technology, Digital Event Delivery, Registration, Project Management or similar
- Advanced, hands‑on experience with registration platforms (Cvent would be beneficial)
- Proven experience configuring and supporting Grip or similar mobile app platforms
- Experience with an Awards Management tool (AwardForce, Evessio, Sessionboard, etc.)
- Experience working with CRM/ERP systems
- Background delivering multiple concurrent events and complex digital workflows
Technical Skills
- Understanding of platform data structures, ETL logic and integrations
- Problem‑solving approach to technical investigations
- Bonus: HTML/CSS, API familiarity or platform integration experience
Professional Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management across technical and non‑technical teams
- Comfortable challenging assumptions, managing scope and saying “no” when required
- Highly organised, self‑driven and detail‑obsessed
- Strong project management and cross‑functional coordination abilities
- Willingness to travel internationally and support onsite delivery
