About the Role

The Position

The Events Analyst, reporting to the Head of EMEA Marketing based in our London office, will work closely with our Events Manager and cross-departmental professionals in Marketing, Client Platform and Compliance to support Wellington’s EMEA calendar of events (physical and online) across both institutional and wealth channels including private equity and sustainable investing. This position is hands-on and the ideal candidate is detail and task orientated with strong organisation, prioritisation, communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Events Manager to plan and execute a number of events across EMEA and gain an understanding of the channel requirements
  • Source and manage vendors for events including restaurants, hotels, meeting rooms and catering
  • Manage logistical planning and on-site support at events where necessary
  • Coordinate alongside Events Manager to track event spend and budgets for the events they are working on
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their business priorities
  • Work with the EMEA marketing team to develop promotional materials and communications for events such as dedicated event microsites, email communications and social promotion, and develop bespoke stand design/formatting in keeping with the firm’s brand guidelines
  • Build relationships with external suppliers, venues, and vendors to achieve the highest standards of excellence and cost efficiencies
  • Tracking event metrics and ROI/success stories
  • Track and manage Wellington’s event merchandise and storage inventory
  • Process and track event related invoices and event contracts
  • Update English event website pages on a quarterly basis & hero banners
  • Ensure all events meet risk, brand and regulatory requirements
  • Follow necessary processes and procedures to support the EMEA events function and the Global Marketing function

Qualifications preferred:

  • 1-3 years of previous experience with events and/or administration, preferably in a financial or other professional services environment
  • High level of proficiency in software packages such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail, excellent time management and strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Quick learner who is highly motivated and a proactive self-starter
  • Ability to build productive business relationships
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple projects independently
  • Language skills of German, Italian or Spanish desired but not required
  • Experience with event technology such as On24 and Bizzabo desired but not required
