Leading Barristers' Chambers
4 Days Office Central London, 1 Day Home | Salary: £50,000-£55,000 Depending on Experience | Permanent, Full Time

A prestigious, award-winning barristers' chambers is seeking an experienced Events and Marketing Manager to lead its events programme and develop client marketing activity.

You will take ownership of the strategy, planning, delivery, and evaluation of a varied programme of high-quality events, ensuring each activity supports business development priorities, strengthens client relationships, and enhances the chambers' reputation.

This role would suit someone from a barristers' chambers, legal, professional services, membership, or other B2B environment. Direct legal-sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

  • Develop and deliver annual events and client marketing strategies aligned with business development goals.
  • Manage a busy schedule of events and related communications, balancing multiple priorities, budgets, and resources with accuracy and control.
  • Introduce creative event concepts, formats, suppliers, and approaches that suit and enhance each event.
  • Advise colleagues and members on event themes, topics, speakers, and opportunities based on market trends and business priorities.
  • Set, manage, and report on event budgets, performance, engagement, feedback, and return on investment.

Event Delivery

  • Lead all aspects of physical and online events, from initial concept and planning through to on-the-day delivery and evaluation.
  • Coordinate programmes, speakers, content, briefings, venues, suppliers, and event teams to consistently high standards.
  • Develop systems, processes, and templates that improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of event delivery.
  • Lead internal events for members and employees, including social, learning, information-sharing, and charity activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
