As a key player in our Brand Engagement team, you’ll take the wheel on our biggest public moments—from buzzing summer festivals and iconic sporting events to show-stopping pop-up experiences and blockbuster consumer PR campaigns across Great Britain.
Reporting directly to the Communications & Events Team Manager, you’ll champion key external partnerships and rally our internal teams—teaming up with Creative, Campaigns, Social, PR, Buying, and top suppliers to make big ideas happen. It’s fast-paced, hands-on, and all about showing our customers that when it comes to top quality, unbeatable prices, and unforgettable experiences, there’s always More to Value at Lidl.

- Shape and implement Lidl GB’s Festivals, Events, and Talkability strategy; bringing the brand to life by maximising strategic partner relationships, tapping into news agendas and social trends to drive standout and culturally relevant concepts
- Lead end-to-end execution of high-profile, large-scale brand activations - from music festivals and sports fanzones, culinary showcases and agricultural fairs, to one-off consumer experiences and pop-ups
- Write compelling briefs, cultivate partner relationships, negotiate rights, manage budgets and tracking, to ensure flawless execution on time, within budget, and fully compliant
- Work hand-in-hand with Creative, Lidl Plus, PR, CSR, Buying, and Legal to guarantee operational efficiency, deliver seamless multi-channel campaigns, and ensure all assets reflect Lidl’s brand identity
- Track KPIs and competitor insights, present strategic activity plans and reports, represent Lidl on-site across Great Britain, support junior team members, and step up to deputise for the Communications & Events Team Manager when needed
What you'll need
- Proven experience within an events or consumer communications role, either at an agency or in-house
- Experience in end-to-end project management within events or PR
- Experience working with retailers or big brands, and a substantial understanding and knowledge of the retail sector and the role of Lidl within it
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high pressured environment with strong time management skills
- Proactive and hands on, with a drive to continuously improve
- Strong communications skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Have a pulse on culture, viral social trends, and the news agenda, paired with the agility to jump on timely moments and shape activity quickly
