Full-time 9-5PM MONDAY - FRIDAY | Full Training Provided | In South London Office

River is entering an exciting new chapter.

With our move into a brand-new South London office, we're growing our sales team and looking for ambitious, confident individuals who are ready to build a career in sales through live events and face-to-face customer engagement.

At River, we specialise in face-to-face sales and customer acquisition, representing leading UK brands through high-footfall promotional events, pop-up campaigns, exhibitions and retail activations. We help our clients grow their customer base while giving our team the opportunity to develop valuable commercial skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

This is not a door-to-door role. All campaigns take place at organised event locations.

No previous sales experience is required. We provide full training from day one and promote based on performance, attitude and development.

The Role

As a Sales & Events Assistant, you'll be at the forefront of our live campaigns, speaking directly with customers, representing well-known brands and generating new customer acquisitions.

Your primary focus will be sales, building rapport with customers, identifying their needs, explaining products and services, and helping them sign up with confidence.

As you develop within the business, you'll also gain exposure to the operational side of events, including campaign planning, event logistics, team coordination and event set-up, providing a clear pathway into leadership and management.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Representing leading UK brands at promotional events and customer acquisition campaigns
  • Speaking confidently with members of the public and generating new customers
  • Delivering engaging product and campaign presentations
  • Building strong customer relationships and creating positive brand experiences
  • Achieving individual and team sales targets
  • Working alongside experienced sales professionals and mentors
  • Participating in daily sales coaching and ongoing development
  • Learning sales psychology, objection handling and customer communication techniques
  • Supporting event operations and campaign organisation as you progress
  • Assisting with event planning, logistics and set-up when moving into leadership responsibilities
  • Developing commercial skills across sales, marketing, client management and business operations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
