About The Role
The Campus Kitchen is the University of Southampton’s in-house catering service. We deliver a wide range of services across our campuses, including retail catering, vending, delivered catering, and a growing portfolio of conferences, fine dining and hospitality events.
As an Events Assistant, you will support the planning and delivery of a wide range of conferences, events and hospitality functions. This will include coordinating bookings, managing event details, liaising with clients and internal teams, and ensuring all aspects of event delivery are organised, communicated and executed to a high standard. You will play a key role in ensuring a seamless customer experience, supporting both the administrative coordination and on-the-day delivery of events.

About You
You will be a highly motivated and proactive individual who thrives in a busy events environment. You will have:
- Experience in an administrative or customer-facing role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- A genuine interest in conferences, events and hospitality
Previous experience supporting events or working in hospitality is desirable.
