Events Assistant and Coordinator
Location: Canary Wharf, Bank Street
Contract: 9 months - ends on 31st July 2027
Work Setup: Hybrid - 4 days in the office

Who You Will Work With
Our client is a global financial services firm that manages wealth, navigates complex markets, and design strategic financial objectives. The firm provides risk management solutions across a variety of sectors, emphasizing long-term relationships, and innovative approaches to financial challenges.
What You'll Do
- Support the Community Affairs team and local Giving Back committee by sourcing volunteering opportunities and preparing for Global Volunteer Month, the annual Giving Back campaign.
- Deliver and manage volunteer events, including:
- Planning projects
- Liaising with partner charities
- Organising resources
- Briefing volunteers
- Tracking participation
- Gathering feedback
- Handle administration tasks such as:
- Creating events on the volunteer platform
- Managing calendars
- Distributing T-shirts
- Booking rooms
- Processing invoices
- Supporting reporting
- Responding to high volumes of queries
- Provide ongoing support to Global Volunteer Month coordinators, act as first point of contact for charity partners and complete related administrative duties.
- Provide administrative support for the EMEA Impact Through Innovation Awards, which offer seed funding to up to 10 charities developing innovative approaches to improve mental wellbeing and educational outcomes for children and young people.
- Compile summaries of information from each awards application and assist with shortlisting successful applicants.

What You Bring
- Corporate-level administrator (e.g. team assistant) with 3+ years' experience in financial services or banking.
- Proactive self-starter who takes ownership of projects with limited supervision and adapts quickly to changing priorities.
- Able to prioritise effectively and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communicator, confident, engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly IT literate, with advanced Microsoft Office skills and strong Excel ability for data sorting, analysis, and reporting.
- Experienced in handling a high volume of emails and queries with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong team player who supports wider teams, senior stakeholders, and event delivery.
