Your Mission
Description
For our London locations we are looking for a full-time Events Associate (Sales). This is a new role designed to take ownership of enquiry management, proactive lead generation, and conversion across our event spaces, to support our growing events business. In addition to London, you'll respond to inbound enquiries from our Berlin portfolio and build a working relationship with the Berlin Community team.
Hospitality is at the heart of what we do, and while this is a sales-first role, an ideal candidate will bring a genuine understanding of hospitality and a customer-centric mindset to every enquiry and client relationship. A willingness to pick up the phone, chase a lead, and think commercially is essential, alongside brilliant attention to detail so nothing falls through the cracks between a confirmed event and a client's final details being handed over to the rest of the team. The role also includes hands-on delivery, so your sales conversations stay grounded in the high-quality experiences we can genuinely deliver on the day. An exceptional Events Associate (Sales) can manage a live pipeline across multiple sites at once, balancing new enquiries, proactive outreach, and repeat business simultaneously, while also handling the expectations of multiple organisers, vendors, and internal teams without losing sight of any one relationship. Strong communication (written, verbal and listening), interpersonal skills and a natural commercial instinct combined with a strong sense of empathy are a must. A hospitality, sales or customer service background is preferred, and attention to detail is essential for making sure clients’ needs and company standards are met. The right attitude and passion for sales and events is just as important as experience in this entry-level position. You should show a willingness to go the extra mile when required and consistently demonstrate a positive attitude. You will receive plenty of incredible opportunities for growth, learning, and development.
Your Profile
Role Specifics
As an Events Associate (Sales), you will have cross-functional responsibilities and be responsible for the top of the events funnel, converting interest into confirmed, well-briefed bookings. You will work closely with the Events Manager, other Events Associates, and departments to ensure a seamless handover from sale to execution, including with delivery where needed. You will support the events manager in delivering the events strategy for the business and hitting our overall annual targets.
- Deliver a 5 Experience*: Delivery is a genuine part of this role, not an afterthought to sales. When you're on-site, from setup through to the event itself, you bring the same hospitality and customer-centric mindset by managing client expectations, coordinating with suppliers, and resolving anything that arises so the experience matches what was promised during the sales process. This hands-on grounding is what keeps your sales conversations credible and your pipeline built on what the team can genuinely deliver.
- Respond and Qualify: Respond to all new enquiries within our service level agreement, across our enquiry channels and agency/broker platforms, qualifying each one to understand the client's event needs and guide them toward the right space and package.
- Generate Demand: Proactively generate new leads through local outreach, LinkedIn and social activity, retargeting campaigns, and referral schemes, while helping to maintain relationships with our agency and broker platforms to keep them updated on availability and offers, rather than relying solely on inbound enquiries.
- Client Conversations and Upselling: Speak with prospective clients by phone or in person, representing the Techspace brand at every touchpoint, to understand their requirements in depth, address questions or concerns, and identify opportunities to upsell catering, AV, and add-on services that maximize revenue per booking. You'll also think creatively about the spaces on offer, from our dedicated event venues to meeting rooms and other flexible areas, to find the right fit for a client's brief and budget.
- Negotiate and Handover: Work within agreed pricing guardrails to convert qualified leads into confirmed bookings, then brief the team clearly and completely, ensuring nothing is lost between sale and delivery, whether that's handing over to the Events Associate (Operations) in London or to our on-site Community team in Berlin. You’ll ensure that bookings are scheduled efficiently across all our locations.
- Cross-Market Collaboration: You'll take ownership of building a strong working relationship with our on-site Community team in Berlin, collaborating closely enough to understand their space, standards, and constraints so you can qualify enquiries accurately and hand over bookings smoothly, even without being on the ground yourself.
- Debt Ownership: You'll take ownership of any outstanding payments on bookings you've secured, following up with clients directly to resolve overdue invoices before they become a wider issue. Keeping on top of this protects both the client relationship and the business, and ties directly back to the accuracy of your own CRM and pipeline records.
- Report and Track: Maintain accurate CRM records, report on enquiry volume, conversion rate, and revenue against target, and share insights on lead quality and client feedback with the wider team and Marketing.
- Feedback: You will enjoy sharing first-hand experiences with the wider team to help improve and grow not only events but the wider business too.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Must Haves…
- Commercially Minded: You think in terms of pipeline, conversion, and revenue, and you're motivated by hitting and exceeding targets.
- Team Player: You see yourself as part of a wider team, not a solo operator, whether that's pitching in on front desk, café, or cover when needed, or simply keeping colleagues and partners informed so your work sets others up to succeed. You see the wider Techspace experience as a shared responsibility, and get real satisfaction from supporting others.
- Keen & Eager: You are a self-motivator, who is always looking to push themselves and those around them. No job is too big or too small and you are happy to give anything a go.
- Friendly: You are a natural, people person. That does not mean you are always the loudest and most extroverted, but people gravitate towards you and feel comfortable in your presence.
- Organised: You have a sharp eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at any given time. You can plan your time effectively to meet deadlines and deliver projects & tasks to a high standard.
- Caring: In a role where you are representing Techspace, a real sense of empathy and care is essential. You consider how your words and actions impact those around you and want to go the extra mile to make people feel looked after.
- Strong Listener & Communicator: Actively listening to clients is a vital skill for this role. Listening with intention, delving deeper and turning feedback into solutions will help you create a bespoke and human experience for our clients. That same clarity works both ways: you're just as comfortable explaining things plainly to a client as you are keeping the wider team in the loop, so nothing gets lost between a conversation you've had and the people who need to know about it.
