JOB TYPE: Contract (9-12 month maternity cover) INDUSTRY SECTOR: Commercial Real Estate / Placemaking LOCATION: Reading/Onsite SALARY: up to £45,000 annual salary
Looking for a dynamic, visible community builder to bring a high-profile business hub to life. This hands-on placemaking role in Reading gives you the creative freedom to design impactful experiences, lead major events, and drive real ESG engagement. 9-12 month maternity cover. Mid-End October start.

ABOUT THE ROLE
What you'll be doing
- Drive tenant engagement and build strong networks with HR, Wellbeing, D&I, and ESG leads across multiple occupier businesses
- Oversee the annual events strategy, ranging from large-scale bi-monthly activations to weekly health and wellbeing workshops
- Manage and hold external marketing and event agencies accountable through clear briefs, structured plans, and regular feedback
- Capture real-time, engaging photo and video content around the park to bring the place to life as an attractive place to work and for tenant communications
- Develop and lead local CSR and community initiatives, partnering with nearby schools, charities, and sports groups
- Gather occupier feedback through surveys to continuously elevate event performance and tenant satisfaction.

ABOUT YOU
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years of experience in event management, community engagement, placemaking, or marketing. Experience working with occupiers in real estate preferred
- Proven track record in managing external agency relationships, media plans, and writing briefs
- Outgoing personality who is comfortable being visible onsite, building relationships with occupiers and the local community and creating content on camera
- Passion for corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and community-led projects
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
