Events Coordinator

Newcastle | Hybrid | Permanent | Full time

Great events do more than fill a room. They create conversations, bring customers closer to us and help turn interest into opportunity.

As our Events Coordinator, you’ll help deliver the UKI events programme across NBS, Glenigan and CIS. You’ll work on conferences, exhibitions, roundtables, customer events and webinars that connect us with the construction industry.

This is a hands-on coordination role. You’ll take an agreed brief and move it from plan to delivery, with support and regular check-ins from our Senior Events & Internal Marketing Manager.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You won’t own the events strategy. You will own the detail, momentum and coordination that help each event deliver against its marketing and commercial objectives.

This is what you’ll be doing:

  • Take agreed events from brief through planning, delivery and post-event review.
  • Keep event plans, timelines and actions moving across several projects at the same time.
  • Coordinate venues, suppliers, speakers, event platforms, registrations and attendee communications.
  • Run the UKI webinar programme, supporting speakers with scheduling, rehearsals and delivery.
  • Work with Marketing Managers on event content, collateral and promotional activity.
  • Partner with sales and commercial teams to understand event objectives and support effective follow-up.
  • Use HubSpot to track attendance, engagement, leads and agreed measures of event performance.
  • Manage event budgets and suppliers carefully, then use results and feedback to improve future activity.
  • You may occasionally travel within the UK to support event delivery.

About You

You know how to keep things moving and you’re comfortable when several deadlines, people and priorities need your attention at once.

Your experience could come from events, marketing, campaigns or another role where you have coordinated complex activity. We care more about what you can demonstrate than whether your previous job title matches ours.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience coordinating events, campaigns or complex projects involving several stakeholders.
  • Strong organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Confidence working with colleagues, suppliers and external partners.
  • The ability to respond calmly and effectively when plans or priorities change.
  • Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the overall outcome.
  • Confidence using data and digital platforms to track activity and understand results.

Experience of B2B events, webinars, SaaS, technology or demand-generation marketing would be useful, but it isn’t essential. HubSpot or other CRM and marketing automation experience would also be helpful.
