We are seeking passionate events management professionals to help us to continue delivering first-class events here at the Step Up Network CIC, a social enterprise and network for leaders in education.

What difference will you make?

As a member of the events team, your input and events management knowledge will drive the performance of Step Up and our community. Events are an important part of the support we provide our network members, so having someone to support and manage our events offering will help us be the best we can!

What are we looking for?

Person Specification

  • Have experience working in events/events management.
  • Is a good communicator.
  • Is a self-starter.
  • Can work remotely.
  • Experience of managing virtual events (desirable).
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Has a good level of written English.
  • Good sense of humour.
  • Has access to a computer and a good internet connection.
  • Aligns to the values and mission of Step Up.

What will you be doing?

Role Purpose

  • To oversee and monitor events and their successes.
  • To provide support to network leaders within a particular region in the facilitation of these events.

One position will be titled 'Events Coordinator - Speakers' and will manage all speaker liaison and programme management; the other will be titled 'Events Coordinator - Commercial' and will manage all aspects of sales and marketing for our events in liaison with the content and marketing directorate.

Duties, Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Network Committee regarding the organisation and set-up of face-to-face events and social events.
  • Work alongside content and social media teams regarding coverage and promotion of events.
  • Liaise with Graphic Designer regarding flyers for events.
  • Act as a key contact point for venues, speakers, attendees and exhibitors.
  • To drive forward our events strategy.
  • Provide speakers with testimonials.
  • Use analytics and data to inform future events.

Logistics

This is a remote role, however, we are seeking a range of people ideally based in different locations and regions across England to ensure they have a good understanding of local geography.
