About the Role
As part of the Campaigns and Events team within Marketing & Communications, you will play a key role in planning, delivering and evaluating a wide range of industry-facing events, including exhibitions, conferences, workshops, roundtables and webinars. In addition, you will support events delivery with the wider Events team.
This is a highly collaborative role requiring someone who is confident leading end-to-end event delivery, managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring every event is executed safely and to the highest standard. You will build strong relationships with colleagues, partners and senior stakeholders, providing expert guidance and delivering exceptional experiences for attendees.
The successful candidate will be equally comfortable working independently and as part of a project team, bringing outstanding organisational skills, attention to detail and strong communication skills.
About You
As a member of the Marketing and Communications Team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of events effectively and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and manage the delivery of events, including direction from the Corporate Marketing and Communications team, the National Challenges and Lead Generation team, the Channels Manager, and the Head of Marketing and Communications.
- Ensure that work is agreed upon within budgets and timescales, maintaining a consistency of approach and use of appropriate business standards.
- Push back on events that don’t have value or strategic purpose, ensuring the Events Delivery Team works on high-quality and targeted events.
- Report on event requests from the business, providing analyses of event requirements and type of support delivered for key programmes.
- Plan and manage the logistics of an event, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to determine preferences and establish budgets.
- Assess event goals and provide professional advice, expertise, and leadership to continually develop and implement plans to deadlines.
- Decide on suitable printed material required to support events and identify issues early and ensure they are resolved to continue to meet project deadlines.
- Follow up on events by analysing feedback and making recommendations for new and better ways of delivering solutions, services, and products.
- Ensure health and safety is a key consideration in all events, completing risk assessment forms and getting them signed off ahead of time.
- Provide all people management processes for the Events Delivery Coordinator, including performance reviews for staff, ensuring that they are completed on time and to company standards.
- Responsible for taking reasonable duty of care for Health & Safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work and always follow direct instructions given with regards to Health & Safety.
