As an Events and Experiences Host, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for selling and delivering a range of premium guest experiences, birthday parties, VIP family visits, corporate events, and conference centre events. You'll play a key role in creating unforgettable moments for our guests while actively contributing to departmental revenue targets through exceptional service and product knowledge.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with enthusiasm and energy who place outstanding guest interactions at the heart of everything they do. Strong communication skills are essential, both when working with colleagues and engaging with guests, along with a friendly, positive, and professional approach at all times. As the role often involves hosting VIP and high-profile guests, maintaining professionalism and discretion throughout every interaction is key.

You must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with the confidence to make decisions and communicate clearly with guests and colleagues in a fast-paced but rewarding environment.

The role also involves confidently promoting and selling experiences and products across the Resort, helping to achieve sales targets while enhancing the guest experience. Following training, you will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and adhering to cash handling and PCI procedures. For candidates with a full driving licence, the role may include driving our modified Safari Truck to provide guests with a safe and memorable journey through the Wanyama Reserve.

Day-to-day, this role will include:

  • Hosting engaging VIP experiences, animal encounters, birthday parties, and behind-the-scenes experiences.
  • Guiding guests around the Resort as part of our Ultimate Day Out and VIP packages.
  • Supporting the delivery of corporate events and conference centre functions.
  • Promoting, selling, and upselling experiences and products across the Resort, including Fastrack, Annual Passes, and other premium offerings.
  • Providing exceptional guest service and building memorable guest interactions.
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of Chessington and Merlin products and experiences.
  • Completing cashier duties and ensuring all transactions are processed accurately.
  • Preparing event and conference spaces to a high standard.
  • Completing daily operational paperwork and departmental administration.
  • Delivering hotel packages to guests staying in our on-site hotels.
  • Driving the Safari Truck safely and in line with company policies and procedures (where applicable).

Qualifications & Experience

We need you to come with a positive attitude, enjoy working as part of a team especially in a fast-paced environment, and be able to deliver jaw dropping fun to our Guests!

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role desirable.
  • Over 18 years old.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence (preferred).

Pay Range

From GBP £9.40/Hr.
