The Team
You will join the Banqueting team, working closely with the Event Operations Manager, Events Floor Managers, and Events Floor Supervisors. Together, the team plans and delivers memorable events while maintaining exceptional standards of service, preparation, and guest care.
Your Role
As Events Head Waiter, you will lead casual and agency associates through event preparation, service, and breakdown. You will help ensure that every function is delivered efficiently, according to the event requirements and to Rosewood London standards.
You will act as a key point of contact for event organizers and guests, responding confidently to requests and last-minute changes while supporting the Events management team in creating an exceptional experience.

How You’ll Make the Place
- Lead and supervise casual and agency waiting associates during event set-up, service, and breakdown.
- Prepare for forthcoming events and ensure rooms are ready at least 30 minutes before each function, in accordance with Rosewood London standards.
- Act as the main point of contact for organizers and guests at assigned events, delivering attentive service and responding effectively to requests.
- Coordinate with the Events management team to deliver each event according to the requirements detailed on the function sheet.
- Take ownership of last-minute changes and resolve service issues efficiently, keeping Events Operations management informed.
- Maintain service, safety, and operational standards, including accurate Micros posting, equipment readiness, and the reporting of accidents, damage, or breakages.
Could This Be You?
- You can confidently lead event waiting and set-up teams while providing clear direction and support.
- You are highly organized and able to plan, prepare, and adapt to changing operational requirements.
- You are comfortable acting as a professional point of contact for event organizers and guests.
- You have strong knowledge of event room set-ups, service standards, and the equipment required for successful functions.
- You can take responsibility for running events of up to 40 guests without direct supervision.
- You are committed to teamwork, guest satisfaction, safe working practices, and consistently high standards.
