The Position

The Events Lead is the strategic and operational lead for the UK's physical and hybrid event engagement footprint. Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Commercial Solutions, you lead a team of specialised Partners to deliver world-class experiences at national and international congresses and events, and internal events. You ensure every event is a data-driven, customer-centred touchpoint.

You will build on the high-performing foundations of the current function, driving continuous modernisation and using data and technology to deepen customer engagement. This is a high-visibility role at the heart of our scientific and commercial presence, where events are treated as part of a continuous loop of learning, execution and engagement rather than endpoints in a customer journey.

The Opportunity:

  • Architect the UK's presence at scientific meetings while growing your team into strategic partners.
  • Line-manage and coach the Events & Congress Partners, owning their growth, performance and wellbeing.
  • Oversee the strategic calendar of UK events, ensuring high-quality execution and consistent brand standards across therapy areas.
  • Close capability gaps in digital integration, data analytics and advanced project management.
  • Champion the Patient Voice in congress environments, ensuring booths and meetings focus on real-world impact.
  • Lead our commitment to green events, reducing waste through modular design and digital-first content.
  • Be accountable for adherence to ABPI, local procedures, data-protection and global compliance standards.
  • Cultivate high-value strategic agency partnerships spanning creative, audio-visual, travel and housing services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
