A Bit About What You Will Do...

As a Events manager, you will ensure a smooth and effective running of the entire meetings and events operations.

  • Plan and manage the day-to-day operations of all M&E areas of the hotel and ensure all service standards are followed and report back on financial performance and employee satisfaction.
  • Implement, measure, monitor and improve all guest service and guest recognition programs such as trust you.
  • Conduct monthly departmental meetings.
  • Demonstrate a management style which promotes effective development and use of team members through regular reviews and coaching.
  • Provide support and training on upselling and negotiating techniques for all team members within the M&E/Food & Beverage service area.
  • Keep staffing in line with payroll budget and proactively plan employee holidays and balance seasonal fluctuations.

  • Very strong communication skills and an excellent standard of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to take initiative and deal with unexpected situations and last-minute changes.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A smart and professional appearance.
  • Most of all, you will have an approachable, positive, and proactive manner.
  • Experience in a similar role within a 4-star hotel is a significant advantage.
