Salary: £32,000–£38,000 per year, depending on experience
Location: Paddington, London W2
Contract: Full-time, permanent – 45 hours per week

About Us
HUCKSTER London and Skylark Roof Garden are distinctive Central London hospitality venues specialising in great food, cocktails and memorable event experiences. Our versatile spaces host corporate events, conferences, private parties, brand activations and large-scale venue hires. We are looking for an experienced Corporate Events Manager to grow our events business, manage key client relationships and oversee bookings from initial enquiry through to successful delivery.
The Role
This is a hands-on commercial role combining corporate event sales, account management, business development and event coordination. You will be responsible for generating new business, converting incoming enquiries, developing long-term relationships with corporate clients and event agencies, and ensuring every event is planned and delivered to a high standard. The ideal candidate will have proven experience within hospitality events, venue sales or corporate event management. You will be commercially driven, highly organised and confident managing multiple enquiries, clients and events at the same time.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Sales and Business Development
- Drive revenue from corporate events, private hire, conferences, group bookings and brand activations
- Manage the full sales process from initial enquiry and venue show-round through to proposal, negotiation and confirmed booking
- Proactively generate new business through outreach, networking, referrals and industry partnerships
- Build strong relationships with corporate clients, event agencies, brands, event planners, executive assistants and other decision-makers
- Identify opportunities to increase booking value through tailored food, drink, entertainment and venue packages
- Respond to enquiries promptly and maintain consistent follow-up
- Support the Director with major enquiries and high-value bookings

Client and Account Management
- Develop and maintain lasting relationships with new, existing and previous clients
- Understand each client’s objectives and recommend suitable spaces, packages and event solutions
- Maintain an accurate database and CRM pipeline of enquiries, confirmed bookings and repeat clients
- Prepare proposals, quotations, contracts and event documentation
- Track sales activity, conversion rates, forecasts and account performance
- Produce regular updates and reports for management
- Conduct post-event follow-ups to gather feedback and encourage repeat business
Event Planning and Delivery
- Coordinate confirmed events with the venue and operations teams to ensure a smooth handover and successful delivery
- Prepare detailed event briefs and communicate client requirements clearly across departments
- Attend planning meetings, tastings, venue visits and client show-rounds
- Be present for large corporate events and key trading periods when required
- Act as the main point of contact for clients before and, where necessary, during their event
- Maintain a high standard of service and resolve challenges calmly and professionally
- Ensure every event reflects the standards of HUCKSTER London and Skylark Roof Garden
About You
Essential
- At least two years’ experience in corporate events, hospitality sales, venue sales or event account management
- Strong knowledge of the hospitality and events industry
- Proven ability to generate leads, convert enquiries and grow client accounts
- Experience managing corporate clients, agencies or event planners
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-building abilities
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
- Commercially minded and comfortable working towards revenue targets
- Confident managing multiple bookings, priorities and deadlines
- Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Flexible and willing to support evening or weekend events when required

Desirable
- Existing relationships with London-based corporate clients or event agencies
- Experience using a CRM or event-management system
- Experience with Canva or similar design software
- Experience supporting or mentoring other team members
- Knowledge of the London corporate events market

Working Structure
- From September to March, the standard working pattern is Monday to Friday.
- From April to August, the standard working pattern is Tuesday to Saturday, with Mondays off.
- Monday is normally a work-from-home day when working a Monday-to-Friday schedule.
- Usual working hours are 10:30am–6:30pm. Flexibility will be required for occasional evening events and Saturday work, particularly during the spring and summer season.

Hiring Process
The first interview will be with our Venues Manager, followed by a second interview with the Venues Manager and Business Director. A final decision will be made after the second stage. Please note: We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
