Events Manager – Customer Success & Event Operations

Bristol | Circa £35k base + bonus

An opportunity to take ownership of some seriously impressive events!

We’re working with an established and fast-growing international events business that creates and delivers high-profile in-person, virtual and hybrid events for clients around the world. As the business continues to grow, they’re looking for a proactive, commercially minded Events Manager to take ownership of the customer journey and operational delivery across a portfolio of events.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being the person who makes things happen — building strong client relationships, keeping multiple moving parts under control and ensuring every event is delivered to an exceptionally high standard.

The Role

You’ll sit at the heart of the event delivery process, working closely with clients, internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure everything runs smoothly from initial planning through to post-event follow-up.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Taking ownership of the end-to-end customer experience across assigned events.
  • Acting as the key point of contact for clients, building trusted and lasting relationships.
  • Managing event operations from planning and preparation through to live delivery and post-event review.
  • Coordinating multiple events, projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure everyone is aligned and accountable.
  • Managing suppliers, venues, speakers, technology partners and other external stakeholders.
  • Identifying potential issues before they become problems and proactively finding solutions.
  • Ensuring events are delivered on time, on budget and to an exceptional standard.
  • Monitoring customer satisfaction and using feedback to continually improve the event experience.
  • Supporting the delivery of both in-person and virtual international events.
  • Maintaining clear project plans, timelines, budgets and operational documentation.
  • Reviewing event performance and helping implement improvements across future events.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing clients and being comfortable acting as their trusted point of contact.
  • Excellent attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.

  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and external partners.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm when things don’t go to plan.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

The Personality

This is as much about how you work as what’s on your CV.

You’ll be someone who:

  • Takes ownership. You don’t wait for problems to land on your desk — you anticipate them and get ahead of them.
  • Loves organisation. You enjoy having multiple plates spinning and know exactly where everything needs to be.
  • Cares about the customer. You understand that a successful event isn't just about what happens on the day — it's about the entire client experience.
  • Stays calm under pressure. Events rarely go exactly to plan. You’re the person who finds a solution rather than panicking about the problem.
  • Wants to improve things. You’ll naturally look at processes and ask, “How could we do this better?”

Why Join?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that has already established itself within the events space but is now entering an ambitious period of growth.

You’ll have genuine ownership, exposure to international events and clients, and the opportunity to play an important role in shaping how the business delivers an outstanding customer experience as it scales.

If you’re an experienced Events Manager who wants more ownership, responsibility and the opportunity to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
