The Queen's Club
The Queen's Club is a world-renowned private Members rackets club in south west London. Host to the international annual HSBC Championships the Club is complemented by a refurbished Club House Restaurant along with private rooms for hospitality.
The Club invites applications from accomplished and highly motivated individuals to join our distinguished Events team as an Events Manager. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the delivery of world-class experiences within one of London’s most prestigious private members’ clubs. We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates impeccable attention to detail, a passion for refined hospitality, and the ability to curate memorable occasions that reflect the Club’s heritage of excellence.
Purpose
Being responsible for all tournament and events that we hold; this includes the Championships, all Member social events, staff social events and Sporting Days. Ensuring high levels of satisfaction are delivered across all the events, and budgets are accurately managed.
Key Responsibilities
Meetings, Events, Sporting Days & Social Events
- Lead the planning, sales, and execution of all meetings, functions, sporting days and social events at the club, ensuring each event delivers exceptional experiences while meeting or exceeding revenue and budget targets.
- Drive member social events calendar, introducing innovative new formats and income-generating ideas, while preserving key traditional events. Actively promote the calendar, ensuring high levels of awareness and engagement from the membership.
- Act as the lead promoter for events across internal channels—coordinating with communications, reception and F&B to maximise member engagement.
- Lead on function and event communication, including writing function sheets, managing website listings, updating the member events calendar, and sending timely, targeted communications. Liaise directly with event hosts where needed.
- Build and convert sales enquiries, including from external sources, into confirmed bookings. Manage the full event sales cycle—from initial enquiry, meetings, proposal and costing, through to post-event feedback and billing.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective external clients to grow external bookings, while maintaining appropriate balance with core member activity.
- Provide visible and proactive event leadership, attending key events to ensure smooth delivery and excellent guest experiences.
- Maintain open and frequent communication with the kitchen and F&B teams to align event plans, service timings, and menu selections.
- Make informed food, beverage and event service recommendations to suit event style and guest preferences, supporting both quality and profitability.
- Ensure all events are set up on Jonas & JAM systems, including bookings, billing, room allocations, budgets, and targets.
- Monitor sales and direct costs per event, ensuring accurate charging, cost tracking and post-event profitability.
- Manage direct report, ensuring they are supported, trained, and effectively contributing to the delivery of the Club’s event programme.
- Respond promptly and professionally to member enquiries and adapt service style to reflect individual needs and expectations.
- Champion member engagement, regularly interacting with members to gather feedback, build relationships and shape future events around their interests.
- Co-ordinate the House Committee, managing meeting dates, taking notes, and ensuring executive actions are followed up.
- Work closely with The Queen’s Club Foundation House Committee Representative to share updates and maintain collaborative working.

The Championships
- Manage tournament-related functions and logistics, working with internal teams and the LTA to deliver a seamless experience for members and guests.
- Take full ownership of the member ticketing process, managing online systems, allocations, and communication in collaboration with the LTA events team and their ticket provider.
- Develop and manage all tournament-related communications and marketing, supporting ticket sales, hospitality bookings, and member engagement.
- Manage all ticket allocations and bookings, including:
- Preferential / Patrons / Clubhouse Dining / Life Members / Balconies
- Staff / Grounds / Suppliers
- Guest Badges
- Lead the delivery of tournament revenue targets through marketing and communication strategies focused on member hospitality sales and ticket sales.
- Oversee the distribution and tracking of all ticket categories and work with the Tournament Assistant to ensure all staff accreditations are completed.
Financial
- Achieve and exceed financial targets across all areas: The Championships, Meetings, Events, Sporting Days & Social Events
- Monitor all costs, ensuring expenses are aligned to budgets and identify areas for cost reduction.
- Conduct annual price reviews across all revenue-generating departments, supporting the Club’s wider financial planning and profitability goals.

Additional
- Club Christmas Decorations; take overall responsibility in delivering the Christmas decorations throughout the Clubhouse as required and to agreed budget with chosen provider.
- Lead and plan the staff social event calendar, ensuring regular, well-organised opportunities for team connection and recognition
- Be accessible and responsive to staff and Members across the Club.
- Lead and manage by example ensuring the integrity and values of the Queen’s Club are upheld in all dealings with people.
- Safeguarding, Child Protection and Health and Safety
- Always Follow the Queen’s Club safeguarding policy and procedures; be vigilant on all matters of child and adults at risk protection.
- Work within the statutory health and safety requirements generally. Reporting any issues of maintenance and health and safety as seen across the Club to the Manager on duty/Maintenance Manager to ensure required safety standards are met.
- Always Work safely adhering to Manual Handling Regulations.
General Requirements
- Undertake projects and complete objectives as required by your manager.
- To assist the Management Team to always maintain a high-quality service to Members and guests whilst making certain all sequence of service and standards are met.
- Always assist your colleagues and across the Club where possible and when asked by your manager.
- Help control costs wherever possible.
- Attend training and internal meetings as required.
- To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene adhering to the club grooming and dress code policy.
- Conduct all aspects of your work and behaviour in line with the values of The Queen’s Club.
