The Opportunity
This role sits in Global Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Marketing and focuses on planning and delivering assigned global events and sponsorships across in-person, virtual and hybrid formats. It translates the global events strategy into high-quality experiences that support client engagement, brand positioning and business priorities.
Working closely with global, regional and local marketing teams, business stakeholders and external agencies you’ll run delivery across the full event lifecycle from briefing and planning through to measurement and follow-up. You’ll also help strengthen the operating model through toolkits, processes, governance and reporting. Success looks like well-executed events that meet commercial objectives, deliver a consistent client journey and generate clear, actionable insights for future improvements.
What you'll be doing
- Manage end-to-end delivery of assigned strategic global events and sponsorships from briefing through to post-event evaluation
- Shape best-in-class client journeys across invitation, registration, onsite or virtual experience and follow-up
- Partner with business and marketing stakeholders to align events to priorities, audiences and agreed objectives
- Coordinate agencies, suppliers and strategic partners to ensure quality delivery and value for money
- Control event budgets and maintain accurate documentation including decision logs, action trackers, risk registers and post-event records
- Apply event toolkits and recommend updates based on delivery experience to improve consistency and efficiency
- Prepare materials for the Events Council, consolidate updates, track actions and escalate items requiring decisions
- Track event performance including attendance, engagement, feedback and relevant commercial measures then turn insights into recommendations

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
