About the Role

As Addleshaw Goddard continues to deliver its ambitious AG2030 growth strategy, client engagement, profile raising and relationship building are becoming increasingly important across our UK and international offices. Events, webinars and targeted marketing campaigns play a critical role in strengthening client relationships, creating new business opportunities and showcasing the firm's market-leading expertise.

The Events & Marketing Administrator will provide essential support to the firm's events and marketing activities, helping to ensure the seamless planning, delivery and administration of a growing programme of client-facing events and communications.

This role sits within the multi award winning Marketing and Business Development team, whose focus in on helping our expert Partners and other lawyers to win business and deliver an excellent client service. We are ambitious to demonstrate the firm's premium quality and imaginative approach, and so are investing in our marketing activities. That has brought with it new opportunities for brilliant marketing talent.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the events team inbox, as well as maintaining and updating the firm's internal and external events calendar.
  • Post-event data management for online and in-person events, in accordance with GDPR, for example recording event attendance.
  • Creating and sending invitations via our e-marketing platform for smaller events.
  • Keeping internal clients informed of progress in terms of event planning and delivery.
  • Creating and sending client-facing marketing newsletters, via our e-marketing platform.
  • Promote best practice for both online and in-person events.
  • Responsible for running live webinars, including setting up webinars; running rehearsals; approving event registrants; running polls and surveys during events; helping presenters with running slide shows during events; feeding questions from the audience through to event speakers; and circulating registration and attendee reports to internal team. You will not be required to be on screen during live events, but you will need to provide behind-the-scenes support to event organisers, hosts and presenters.
  • Escalate complex event requests or technical problems to your manager.
  • Occasional support at in-person events.
  • Preparing simple management reports on event attendance.

Who We're Looking For

  • Must be highly organised, approachable, have a very high attention to detail and be highly organised.
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly with senior clients and colleagues in a calm, professional and friendly manner.
  • Highly computer literate with a proven ability to pick up and use new systems or software, ideally including experience of Microsoft Office software.
  • It would be advantageous to have experience with webinar technology or email marketing platforms, as would a basic working knowledge of social media and websites. InterAction, Zoom and Vuture are our key platforms.
  • An ability to manage conflicting requests or concurrent multiple projects, and cope with a steady stream of work.
  • Candidates that have worked in previous marketing administrative roles would be of interest, but any candidates with an administrative background and both a strong desire and aptitude to learn and do well in an events and marketing team would do well here.
